Dear Patient: Your Body Mass Index (BMI) comes to around 25. BMI in the range of 21 to 25 is optimum. BMI more than 25 is categorized under overweight. Losing weight can be achieved by following a proper diet schedule. Try to lessen the calorie intake gradually and instead replace it with proteins. The quantity of each meal can be proportionately reduced. Try to incorporate more of liquids in the diet , especially fruit juices of the citrus family. Replace rice consumption partly with coarse grains. Rest of the nutrients should continue to be consumed as desired. Sudden cessation of feeding is never advised for weight loss nor is skipping of meals advised.
