Cervical Spondylosis is a condition that affects the joints in the neck developed as a result of the wear and tear of the cartilage and bones of the cervical spine. Usually, this occurs with age but it can be caused by other factors as well. This condition is also called as Cervical Osteoarthritis and neck arthritis. The severe condition of cervical spondylosis may need to undergo surgery. The other risk factors to develop cervical spondylosis may include:
- Neck injuries
- Extra pressure or strain on the neck in workplace
- Genetic factors
- Smoking
- Holding neck in anuncomfortable position
- Being overweight and inactive
Some of the symptoms of Cervical Spondylosis:-
- Severe pain around the shoulder blade
- Pain increases when standing, sitting, sneezing, coughing, and tilting on the back
- Muscle weakness
- Stiffening of the neck
- Headache occurs back of the neck

Consult a doctor if you have signs of severe pain around the shoulder blade that increases with movement. The treatment is suggested depending on the severity of the condition.
