Cervical Disc Degeneration is a common cause of neck pain, also called as stiff neck. The condition occurs due to ageing of the spine due to which it loses the ability to function efficiently as part of the spinal joint. The dehydration of the disc material reduces the flexibility and typically the height of the disc. In some cases, the degeneration causes pain from the loss of disc height and abnormal motion or compression between the vertebra that results in pain. The treatment may include conservative care( non- surgical) or surgical methods.
