Cataract congenital cerulean Type 2 is a condition of cataract that occurs at birth or soon after. The condition has a characteristic blue color with spot-like opacities radiating from the center of the lens. Type 2 is caused by a defect on chromosome 22q11.2-q12.2.
Some of the symptoms of cataract congenital cerulean type 2:-
- Impaired vision
- Bluish dots around the edge of the lens
- White dots around the edge of the lens
- Opacities like spots radiate from the centre of the lens
