Broca's Aphasia is also called Expressive Aphasia or non-influent aphasia. It is the loss of ability to communicate in speaking or writing. This is caused by damage to the interior regions of the brain, including the Broca's area. The most common cause of aphasia in the brain may be caused by brain stroke that is due to blockage or rupture of a blood vessel in the brain. The condition may create complications in the job, relationships and day-to-day activities.
Some of the symptoms of Broca's Aphasia:
- Speaking in short or incomplete sentences
- Speaking in sentences that are senseless
- Speak unrecognizable words
- Unable to comprehend other people's conversation
- Writing sentences that are senseless
When should you consult a doctor?
Consult a doctor if you have difficulty in speaking, trouble in comprehending speech, difficulty in recalling words and problems with reading or writing.
