Fibroadenoma is a non-cancerous tumor developed in the breast that is composed of fibrous and glandular tissues. Fibroadenomas may also be called breast mice or breast mouse when there is high mobility of the lump. The exact cause of breast fibroadenoma is unknown, the hormones as estrogen may play a major role in growth and development of the tumors. The tumors may develop during pregnancy or during menopause. Consult a doctor if you have signs of breast fibroadenoma. The treatment may include biopsy to evaluate the lump or surgery to remove it.
