Brain tumor is also called intracranial neoplasm. It is the growth of abnormal cells within the brain or in parts close to the brain. Brain tumors exist in several types as benign tumors (noncancerous), malignant (cancerous), primary brain tumors (that begin in brain), secondary or metastatic brain tumors (that begin in other parts of the body and spread to brain). The symptoms may vary depending on the location and size of the tumor.
