Cataract is a blurred or cloudy vision of the eye. Usually, cataracts do not spread from one eye to another, but sometimes it may occur in both eyes called bilateral cataracts. Cataracts are often caused by aging, but can also occur due to some health problems as diabetes, obesity, smoking, eye injury, high blood pressure, excess alcohol consumption or excess exposure to sunlight, use of medications as corticosteroid, exposure to radiation and congenital cataracts. Generally, surgery is suggested in cataract problems which can improve vision.
Some of the symptoms of Bilateral Cataracts:
- Poor vision during nights
- Double vision
- Colors appear to be faded or in yellow shade
- Frequent changes in eyewear prescription
When should you consult a doctor?
