The Biceps have two tendons attached with muscles to the bone. Bicep tendon tear can be a partial or complete tear. A Partial tear is partially split the tendon, but complete tear splits the tendon completely into two. The tendon tears due to bicep injury or overuse & wearing of the tendons. The injury of biceps may due to falling down or forced pressure due to heavy weight lifting. People at age of 30 and over, smoking and who are using the medication of corticosteroid are at high risk of triggering bicep injuries as they increase muscle and tendon weakness.
Some of the symptoms of Bicep Injuries:
- Sudden and sharp pain in the upper arm
- Audible pop or snap sound
- Pain or tenderness in the area of shoulders and elbow
- Unable to make arm movements
- Bruising from middle of the upper arm towards the elbow
