Astigmatism is common eye condition having blurred vision and inability to focus a point object into sharp focused image on the retina. This may be due irregular or toric curvature of the cornea or lens. There are two types of astigmatism: regular and irregular astigmatism. Astigmatism may be corrected by eyeglasses, contact lenses or surgery.
Some of the symptoms of Astigmatism:
- Blurred vision
- Fatigue
- Eye strain
When should you consult a doctor?
Consult an Ophthalmologist if you have signs of constant blurred vision and eye strain. Doctor may diagnose nearsightedness or farsightedness and suggest the relevant treatment.
