Aortic Valve Regurgitation or Aortic Regurgitation is leaking of blood through aortic valve into the left ventricle. The aortic valve allows blood to flow from heart's lower left chamber into aorta and to the body. The heart rests between beats and the valve closes to keep blood from flowing backward into the heart. In aortic regurgitation, the valve doesn't close completely and allows the leakage of blood into the left ventricle. This makes the heart to work harder.
Some of the symptoms of Aortic Valve Regurgitation:
- Fatigue or weakness
- Shortness of breath
- Uneven heartbeat
