Aortic valve stenosis or Aortic Stenosis is narrowing of aortic valve. Stenosis restricts the valve from complete opening which forces heart to work tough to pump blood through the valve. This would thicken the heart muscle. Calcium buildups on aortic valve, congenital defect in birth, Rheumatic fever or endocarditis are some of the causes for Aortic stenosis.
Some of the symptoms of Aortic Stenosis:
- Pressure or pain in chest
- Fainting frequently or severe dizziness
- Feeling of heart beating unevenly
