Ankylosing spondylitis is a chronic inflammatory disease that is a type of arthritis that affects the spine. The spine bone called vertebrae may grow or fuse together that result in rigid spine. The changes may range from mild to severe which may lead to arched posture of spine. The cause of spondylitis is not known but usually affected with family history.
Some of the symptoms of Ankylosing Spondylitis:
- Constant pain and stiffness
- Abnormal joining of bones
- Pain in ligaments and tendons
