Ankle Clonus is a disordered movement of muscle contractions in ankle, at the time of stretching muscles in and around the ankle. It may be a sign of neurological disorder and can interfere with the ability to walk steady. If the affected person puts more pressure or weight on the affected foot, it can jerk or twitch. This would trigger muscle soreness and pain in the affected leg.
Some of the symptoms of Ankle Clonus:
- Difficulty in stretching ankle
- Soreness and pain in ankle muscles
- Unable to walk steadily
When should you consult a doctor?
Consult a General Physician or an Orthopedic if you have difficulty in ankle movement frequently.
