Anal Abscess or Rectal Abscess is collection of pus in deep tissues around anus. Perirectal and Perianal are two common types of Abscess. Perirectal abscess is collection of pus in deep tissues around anus and in contrast perianal abscess is shallower collection of pus below the skin around anus. Both types of anal abscess need immediate treatment and medication to avoid serious problem.
Anal Abscess is more likely to develop with people facing diabetes, AIDS or HIV infection, Crohns disease, pregnancy, people undergoing chemotherapy, foreign bodies in anus, sexually transmitted disease and fissures.

- Pain in areas around anus
- Fever
- Abscess enlargement
- Bowel movement trouble
