Alzheimer’s is a neurological disorder in which brain cells are degenerated resulting in memory loss and cognitive decline. The size of brain shrinks with Alzheimer’s. Usually Alzheimer’s progress in 3 stages: preclinical (no signs or symptoms), mild cognitive impairment and Dementia. People above 65 years of age are at more risk for Alzheimer’s disease.
Some of the symptoms of Alzheimer’s:
- Inability to remember new things or forgetting things
- Misplacing things and forgetting
- Poor decision-making
- Speech, spelling or writing errors
- Compulsive behavior disorder
When should you consult a doctor?
Consult a doctor when you notice severe memory problems in the daily routine at the earliest to avoid serious risk.
