Airway Obstruction is referred as blockage of respiration in the airway. The blockage can be partial or total that prevents air flow to lungs, sometimes the airway blockage can be life-threatening which should be treated with no delay. There are several types of airway obstructions: Upper airway obstruction, Lower airway obstruction, partial airway obstruction, complete airway obstruction, acute airway obstruction and chronic airway obstruction.
Airway Obstruction has several factors as inhaling or swallowing a foreign object, allergic reactions, vocal cord problems, viral infections, bacterial infections, asthma, chronic bronchitis, cystic fibrosis and more. People with smoking habit, inherited airway disease or having severe allergies have high risk of Airway Obstruction.

- Gasping of air
