Accessory Navicular Bone is growth of extra bone or piece of cartilage found inside foot. It is rarely found normal cases and is congenial (present at birth) in most cases. Accessory Navicular Bone syndrome may results in:
- Trauma like in foot or ankle sprain
- Severe irritation when using shoes or footwear
- Excessive pressure on foot
Some of the symptoms of Accessory Navicular Bone:
- Visible bone prominence on middle of foot
- Swelling and redness found in bone
- Vague pain or throbbing periodically
