Abnormal Uterine Bleeding (AUB) is also called Abnormal Vaginal Bleeding or Dysfunctional Uterine Bleeding. Abnormal bleeding is the unusual bleeding from vagina apart from regular monthly periods. Heavy bleeding during periods with lasting long (more than 7 days) periods, called menorrhagia also falls into Abnormal Uterine Bleeding. The most common cause for irregular bleeding can be change in hormones; other medical reasons can be due to thyroid, miscarriage, fibroids, cancer and blood clotting problems.
Some of the symptoms of Abnormal Uterine Bleeding:
- When your period is lasting for more than 7days.
- When you are bleeding is too heavy.
- When you are bleeding is very low, like just spotting.

Consult a doctor with when you are having irregular periods and abnormal bleeding as these symptoms result into serious illness sometimes.
