He has focus on gynecologic cancer care and is well experienced in performing surgery for cancer of ovary, uterus, cervix, vulva and vagina. His expertise includes cytoreductive surgeries, pelvic and para-aortic lymphnode dissection, radical hysterectomy and radical vulvectomy with groin node dissection. Dr Viral Patel has special interest in sentinel lymphnode mapping technique in uterine cancer, cervical cancer and vulval cancer which has best result with less surgical complications in comparison with standard surgery. He is expert in dealing & treating young girls/women with gynecologic cancer. In treatment decisions, He gives priority to preserve hormonal & reproductive function without compromising oncological outcome. Dedication to treat or diagnose hereditary cancer in women and genetic counseling with or without testing are cornerstones of his gynecologic cancer care. He has multiple national and International publications and also contributed to book chapter titled “Surgeries for Malignant Gynecological Diseases”.
