About

Dr Vinitha V Nair did her MBBS graduation from Government medical college Trivandrum in 2005. She took MS in general surgery from the same institute in 2009. She did her superspeciality training in Cardiothoracic and Vascular surgery from All India Institute Of Medical Sciences, New Delhi from 2010 to 2013. From 2014 tp 2018, she worked as a consultant cardiothoracic surgeon in the department of CVTS, Kottayam medical College where she performed more than 500 adult cardiac, paediatric cardiac and thoracic procedures independently. She was an integral part of all 4 cardiac transplants performed in the centre( first in a state government centre in the country). She got an opportunity for fine tuning of her training in paediatric cardiac surgery from Boston Childrens Hospital, USA and Hospital for Sick Kids, Toronto Canada.

Since August 2018, she has been working as a consultant cardiothoracic surgeon at Caritas Hospital, Thellakom, Kottayam, Kerala.
