Dr. Vikas Goyal

Dr. Vikas Goyal is one of the eminent doctors of Raipur who has made a name for himself in the areas of Clinical Hematology and Bone Marrow Transplant. Dr. Goyal, who did his medical schooling from the MGM Medical College Indore, went on to do his post graduation in Medicine from the GR Medical College in Gwalior. This was followed by a 3-year super specialty training for DM in clinical hematology from the KEM Hospital Mumbai and later by bone marrow transplant training at the ACTREC, Tata Memorial Centre, Mumbai.

Dr. Vikas Goyal is a pioneer in the field of comprehensive hematology care in the city of Raipur, which did not have such facilities earlier. He made a lot of effort to train a team of doctors and nurses in hematology patient care and developed an excellent department at the SCCH Hematology Centre in Raipur. He was instrumental in setting up the Hematology lab, Neutropenia Care, Day Care Chemotherapy ward, and the Bone Marrow Biopsy Facility. The SCCH Hematology Centre is recognized by the Max Foundation for enrolment of CML patients under the GPAP scheme.

Dr. Goyal is an authority in all aspects of hematology such as hematological malignancy, benign hematological disorders including thalassemia, sickle cell disease, AIHA, MDS, aplastic anemia, ITP, hemophilia, DVT, and PE. He is also familiar with all the procedures dealing with the subject.

Dr. Vikas Goyal has participated as faculty at various national meets and also been regularly involved in mass education programs through the print media and medical camps. It is his endeavor to ensure that the medical fraternity is exposed to the field of hematology through such events.
