Dr. Varun Aggarwal did his MBBS from the government medical college and hospital Chandigarh. He joined the institute in 1998 and passed out in 2003. He joined Masters in Orthopedics in the same institute and passed out in 2008.

He then joined Alchemist Hospital as joint research associate under prof Jaswant Rai. In November 2009, he joined Dayanand Medical College Ludhiana and continued his training there for approx 1 year.

In 2010, he joined Government Medical College and Hospital Chandigarh again as a senior resident. He left the institute in 2013 to establish the concept of OrthoGolden institute.
