Dr. Sridhar Baratan

Dr Sridhar Baratan pursued fellowship from the Medical Research Foundation, Sankara Nethralaya in Chennai and went on to complete an MBA in International Healthcare and Hospital Management from the Frankfurt School of Business, Germany.

He has been actively involved in innovations in Phacoemulsification, Refractive Cataract surgery, surgical education and training in the latest state-of-the-art Cataract surgery techniques. Throughout his career he has made significant contribution in setting up structured Hospitals in areas of need along with the structural and process management of these centres and community outreach programs.

He received high honours from the Government of Botswana for successfully completing a Cataract surgery campaign wherein nearly 2000 surgeries were performed in mare 40 days. He was entitled with a special recognition by the Indian Institute of Technology, Chennai for successful completion of nearly 600 surgeries in the Mobile Eye Surgery Unit.
