    Dr. Desai, who has been practicing in the field of shoulder and knee surgery for more than 10 years, is credited with being one of world-class arthroscopic shoulder surgeons in India. Thanks to his expertise,  revolutionary surgical treatment is now affordable and available to many people in our country.

    Dr. Sanjay Desai has had an excellent academic career and has earned a number of awards and medals during his academic career. He graduated from the T.N.Medical College & B. Y. L. Nair Hospital, Mumbai. After doing his Masters in Orthopaedic surgery in 1990, he worked briefly as a lecturer at the Dr. R.N. Cooper/K.E.M. Hospital until 1991.

    He trained in Total Joint Replacement at the Wrightington Hospital, a center that pioneered this procedure a number of years ago, and was, therefore, considered the birthplace of joint replacement surgery. Dr. Desai spent time with some of the principal shoulder and knee surgeons in the UK, as well as some of the best-known in Germany and France to gain a wider exposure in this field.
