He completed his MBBS and MD (Internal Medicine) from University College of Medical Sciences (UCMS),Delhi University  followed by Senior Residency in the division of Endocrinology,department of Medicine at the associated Guru Teg Bahadur Hospital (GTBH),Delhi. He went on to receive his D.M.(Endocrinology and Metabolism) from the Institute of Medical Sciences,Banaras Hindu University (BHU),Varanasi. He was actively involved in research,teaching and training during these periods.He qualified his MRCP(UK)-Speciality Certificate Examination in Diabetes and Endocrinology after that.
 
He has authored research publications,review articles,chapters in textbooks and case reports in reputed national and international journals as also is the co author of Endocrinology clinics of BHU 2015.
 
He was awarded the ‘Best Paper Published’ award at the 14th ESI AV Gandhi awards for excellence in Endocrinology.
 
He is the reviewer for Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism Case Reports, Bioscientifica Publishing (Bristol UK) and Journal of Medical Case Reports, BioMed Central (Springer Nature).
 
He also has been invited as speaker,panelist,chairperson in various conferences.
 
He is a member of  Endocrine Society (U.S.A.),American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists (AACE) and Research Society For Study of Diabetes in India (RSSDI).
