Dr. R Ranjith Sukumar

Dr. Ranjith Sukumar completed his undergraduate training and post graduate training at JIPMER Pondicherry which is counted as one of the best medical schools in the country. After obtaining his masters he completed 3 year Senior Residency in General surgery at JIPMER, Pondicherry. He was deeply involved in research projects and teaching programmes at the institute during this period. He completed his post doctorate (MCH) in Endocrine Surgery in 2009 from the prestigious Sanjay Gandhi Institute of post graduate medical education and research (SGPGI), Lucknow and has been working as a medical teacher and consultant endocrine surgeon since. He has been in the forefront of research in the field of thyroid and endocrine surgery and has developed his own technique of parathyroid dissection to reduce hypocalcemia during thyroid surgery.
