In the PG entrance exams he stood 2nd in the state. In the Superspeciality entrance exams he was first in the state of Maharashtra. He was university first in Gastroenterology in the year 2012 in MUHS.

He has special interest in the field of Advanced Interventional Endoscopy. He also received the very prestigious Don Wilson award in 2014 from the American society of gastrointestinal endoscopy. He was trained in Endoscopic ultrasound at â€œCenter for interventional endoscopy â€œ florida, USA, by a team of renowned endoscopists, Dr shyam varadarajulu, Dr Robert Hawes, and Dr Mohhammed Hasan.

He has made several presentations Indian and International conferences. He also published research articles in National and International Journals. Dr. Chirag has written chapters in the Surgical Textbook of Gastroenterology.

Dr. Chirag is the Director of Mission Gastro Hospital, Ahmedabad. He is a member of Society of gastrointestinal endoscopy of India and Indian society of Gastroenterology. He is also a member of American society of gastrointestinal endoscopy and European society of neurogastroenterology and motility.
