Dr. Ashok Panagariya is one of the respected doctors in Rajasthan,  who has earned the reputation of being one of the best clinical neurologists in the country. Dr. Panagariya is a Professor Emeritus of the SMS Medical College, an honorary neurologist to the Indian Armed Forces, and a Consultant Neurologist at the SMS Hospital, Jaipur.

Dr. Panagariya has a talented personality, who has a blend of academics, research, and leadership qualities apart from a philanthropic outlook. He is a medical researcher and academician, who is especially known for his research on nerve cells and neuromyotonia. The former Vice Chancellor of Rajasthan University of Health Sciences, Jaipur, he is a recipient of the Dr. B. C. Roy Award. Dr. Panagariya, who enjoys taking up challenges on unresolved issues, is known for quick diagnosis, analysis, and Holistic Management.

Dr. Ashok Panagariya passed his MBBS in 1972 and then, went on to do his Post Graduation in Internal Medicine in 1976 from the SMS Medical College & University, which was followed by DM in Neurology from the  PGI Chandigarh.  He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians.

Before taking up the present assignment, Dr. Panagriya was the Head of the Department of Neurology at the Sawai Man Singh Medical College. He also served as the Principal of SMS Medical College, the Vice Chancellor of the Rajasthan University of Health Sciences,  President of Indian Academy of Neurology, and has also been a member of the State Planning Board of Health.
