A vivid researcher from the start of his career, he has numerous publications to his name in indexed national and international journals including his correspondence on Air pollution published in The Lancet.

Fueled by an unwavering zeal for medico-social reform, he established Naini, an NGO dedicated to fostering positive change. Among its multifaceted endeavors, Naini spearheads campaigns to combat air pollution in and around the city of Lucknow, reflecting Dr. Tandon's commitment to the well-being of both individuals and the community at large.

He is an MD in Respiratory Medicine, from Pandit Bhagwat Dayal Sharma Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences, Rohtak. He went on to secure the highest marks amongst all the specialities amongst all the colleges under Pt. Bhagwat Dayal Sharma University of Health Sciences and was awarded the Gold Medal in the Department for the year 2020.

MBBS from Kasturba Medical College, Mangalore, Dr. Tandon was selected for Short Term Studentship by the Indian Council of Medical Research in 2012, for which he undertook a study which he presented at Leiden International Medical Students' Conference, Leiden, The Netherlands in 2015. He was subsequently selected as the Ambassador for India to LIMSC for the years 2015- 2017 and 2017-2019. Having a keen interest in extra curricular activities, he was elected as the Literary and Culture Secretary, for the Students' Council, Curofy Student Ambassador, Curofy Student Mentor, Founding and Executive board member of Manipal University Students' Research Forum and a Founding member of Volunteer Student Organisation. Dr. Tandon graduated in 2017 having secured a Distinction in Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry, Pharmacology, Forensic Medicine, Pathology, Microbiology and First Class in ENT, Ophthalmology, Social and Preventive Medicine, Medicine, Surgery, Pediatrics and Obstretics and Gynaecology and was eventually elected the Fellow of Academy of General Education by Manipal University.
