Dear Patient: Dear Patient
Sensitivity in a tooth with crown can occur due to a variety of reasons which include receding/infected gums (common in elderly age group), grinding of teeth at night, degenerative changes in the tooth soft tissue (pulp) etc. Treatment would depend on the aetiology of the problem. I would suggest that you visit your dentist who may advise you a radiograph (X ray) to ascertain the exact aetiology of the problem. Use of Sensodyne tooth paste for prolonged duration or any other self medication is not recommended. Take care.
Regards.
