Dear Patient: Dear Patient
Based on what I could understand from your question, it seems that you are worried about certain black lines which you can see on your left upper posterior tooth. Although it seems you don’t have any problems associated with it.
Posterior teeth (molars and premolars) used for chewing food, can normally have lines or creases on their chewing surfaces. At times they become blackish in colour which can be simply due to staining or more commonly it can be due to early stages of dental decay. The treatment would depend on the cause of the problem. Based on your description of the problem a root canal treatment (RCT) may not be required. However you must visit your dentist for advice &necessary procedure.
Regards.
