Dear Patient: Hello,
Thank you for your query at Sehat.com
Mild pain is expected after the surgery. However if the pain is increasing and the swelling is persistent you should follow up with your operating surgeon immediately.
Normally after the surgery, the patient can put all his weight on his legs, and by the 10th day, the range of motion improves. Here the role of physiotherapist becomes crucial. Since it has been a month, and still you have a persistent swelling, you should consult your surgeon and get an imaging test done.
Regards.
